Day by day the importance of Turkey is risen to a point that for both east and west as a bridge and a model for the Islamic world. Turkey is the only Islamic country that adapted to the secular democratic regime. Turkey has been playing a very important role as a mediator within the region. Turkey is the only country that has good relationships with any country in these four regions. Turkey has played the mediator role between Israel and Syria, Hama the leader of Palestine and Egypt, and very likely to play the same role between America and Iran. This political vision of Turkey comes from the long history of Turks. Turks have establishes 17 countries in its history and always had multicultural society in as today in Turkey and has not dispensed double standards between the different types of societies. As today Turkey is a multicultural country and there are many religions living side by side. In Istanbul the is a region called Ortakoy that there are mosque, church and synagogue positioned side by side.
Turkey is a vital change for those countries to build relationships with Europe and with Middle Eastern countries. For the economical and energy reasons Turkey is right in the middle of the relationships. The energy sources are transmitted by Turkey to Europe and will continue. For many reasons Turkey is a critical key country for the world. Recently the president of United States visited Turkey, in his second month of presidency. This is a really big message to the world as he says so. Turkey and United States are strategic partners and they have the same enemies as they declared in the recent history. This visit is an emphasis of the given value to Turkey. Obama called out to the Islamic world from Turkey as United States from now on trying to build warm relationships with the Middle Eastern countries. Obama declared that the American army will be stand back fully in 2011. This is a really a big problem situation for America because, as the history shown the occupying forces lost more lives in the regression than intruding the land. America needs Turkey in the process of standing back to keep its losses as down as possible. Another problem is that in Afghanistan the American troops are having a big trouble and as already Turkish troops are playing a big role in the region Obama asked for additional forces from Turkey to help them. Turkish troops are knows as the mediator forces in these regions and wherever there is a problem there is Turkish forces to keep the tension down. The troops are shown sympathy by the region people. Turkey is the only key country in the betterment of the relationships of the world with these four regions. The strategic importance of Turkey is increasing as the energy sources are declining in the regions. Turkey has the eight strongest military and the seventeenth economy in the world. Turkey is also a member of G-20 that is an informal forum that promotes open and constructive discussion between industrial and emerging-market countries on key issues related to global economic stability. Turkey will get better in these rankings in time to be able to have a better place in the peace of the world.
