Ilearning Global Makes Changes In Its Business Model

iLearning Global offers a variety of audio, video and e-book content presented by the most well-known speakers in the country

. These include Brian Tracy, Alex Day and Tony Alessandra. Topics range from sales management, starting your own business, closing the sale and motivation. Content is available to its members 24 hours a day, seven days a week and new content is added on a weekly basis.

What started as a multi-level marketing company, iLearning Global has, as of March 17, 2010, changed business models. The company is now using a more traditional retail sales model. The many independent marketers who began with the company can be grandfathered in to the new membership program for a reduced monthly rate of $39.95.

The changes in business model had to be made in order for the company to remain solvent and growing. When it first began, the Internet marketplace was quite different. iLearning Global's product at that point -the online HD video classes, the amount of content, the exclusive membership site- were unique. In addition, people had more money to spend on professional development and were willing to pay for quality content.

Over time, the Internet marketplace evolved. Today, online learning is nothing special. People have access to free training videos at the click of a button. Authors, speakers and other professionals give away a great deal of content as part of their marketing approach. People do not have as much money to spend on "luxuries" like professional development and they are not willing to pay for things that are available for free. These were the changes in the marketplace that created the need for the company to change its business model.

All of these changes in the Internet (and the way people use it) have significantly impacted iLearning Global's ability to stay competitively priced. Looking at the long-term interests of the company, iLearning Global decided that the only way for the company to remain financially stable and experience continued growth was to shift the business model away from a multi-level marketing model to a traditional retail model.

The new offerings by iLearning Global are bigger and better than ever. Each monthly membership of $59.95, gives the member access to three well-designed sites: DailySuccessStream, EDGE and Premium. The DailySuccessStream is a learning portal for personal and professional development. The EDGE website is the home of a very thorough business training program. The Premium website is a mastermind networking site that members can use to learn more about the best practices in business from the best in the business.

On these sites, members will find social and business networking with an interface similar to the one used by Facebook. Members will be able to learn from some of the top experts in sales and business and participate in virtual events.

Ending the multi-level marketing model was a difficult decision, but one that had to be made in the best interest of the company. Final commissions to independent marketers will be paid on March 31, 2010. The new membership package will have an up-to-date look and feel. These changes will secure the position of iLearning Global in the online learning market.
