Exposure is everything in MLM. The more people you expose your opportunity or product to the more money you will make in this industry. This is the bottom line. Your business cards and graphic designs may rock, but without exposure you're just wasting time and money.

Alright, then how do we expose our opportunity to others and start earning some cash? Alright, then how do we expose our opportunity to others and start earning some cash? Simple. We start prospecting. MLM prospecting is number one thing you can do to generate income in mlm. Everyone needs to come to the conclusion that we're in sales. In order to sell someone on your opportunity or product, then you must prospect to get leads, set appointments, and eventually sponsor reps.

If we know that prospecting is the single most important activity then why don't we do it all day long? Sadly, the majority of people in mlm stay very active with unimportant tasks that yield few if any results. These folks begin whining about laboring long hours with no money earned. They end up quitting and justify it by telling everyone how the business doesn't work. These people do this our of fear. The fear is a result of lack of belief.

So how do we establish belief? Start by asking yourself three questions:

1. Do people earn income in the mlm industry?

2. Do people make money in my primary business?

3. Do I promote something of value to the consuming public?

Reflect on these questions. If the answer is "yes" to all 3 questions then you're in a great business. There should not be any belief issue now.

Once you begin believing in your work and your ability to achieve in this industry then we can work on prospecting.

1. Commit to your business..

As the great Jedi Master Yoda once said, "Do or Do not, there is no try." Make the decision to get it done regardless of the circumstances you face.

2. Practice your skills.

It will take some time and effort to get good at prospecting. Like basketball you need to shoot a ton of free throws to get proficient at shooting them. MLM prospecting is no different. The key is to start doing it.

3. Take Action.

Begin prospecting following the system your upline recommends. Don't reinvent the wheel. These people have succeeded. Learn from them.

4. Stay Consistent and FINISH what you started.

Do first things first day in and day out. By that I mean prospect daily. Question yourself "is this an income producing task?" Take on the mindset of "no quitting."

Now you have some mlm prospecting tips that you can implement today. You can now get prospecting daily. It will change the face of your business overnight.

If you are new to the mlm industry then you will simply start off with your "warm market." That means prospect your friends, family, co-workers and anyone else in your sphere of influence. After you go through them you'll move to your cold market prospects.
