, those involved for some time will know what I mean. Astonishingly over ninety five percent of mlm marketers don't make any profit. It certainly was that way for me for a long time. When I first took up mlm marketing I found it extremely difficult to sponsor anyone, I did sponsor a few but they dropped out of the business very soon, I did make a small amount of money selling the products as they were actually quite good. I spent a lot of my time on non productive activities such as chasing my friends and family, desperately trying to convince them that my business was the best out there and that they could get rich if they joined me, meanwhile I was struggling to make a dime myself!
There are many people who jump around from company to company, one doesn't work out so they think that maybe it's the product or compensation plan that is at fault. There is no doubt in my mind that the mlm model is the best around for building residual wealth but it won't work if you are not trained and skilled in the methods that must be employed in order to recruit new distributors. If you keep jumping around to different companies you will never address the real problem....how to successfully recruit people.
One key point you need to consider is that you need to have products that customers will want and need. Always ask yourself a question about the products....'would it stand up on its own and still sell even if there was no pay plan associated with it'? If you are unable to answer that question with a yes then for definite you ought to change to a different company. You also need to consider how you will build your business, do you have a large database of business contacts and people that you could share your opportunity with? A lot of folk starting up in the mlm industry won't have and so will have a tough time keeping the leads flowing in and of course without a steady flow of leads your business is not going to ever be successful.
This was a big problem for me in the beginning and for the next 5 years I floundered around with offline methods such as door to door, leaflets, business cards, local advertising & prospecting friends. Things got really bad for me and I was ready to throw the towel in and forget my dreams, but one day I had the thought of building my business online. Certainly it seemed to be a good idea given the amount of folks online searching for business opportunities but like many people who turn to the internet I was still banging my head against a brick wall as I didn't know how to market online.
Since then I have spent about 3 months solidly searching, watched countless hours of training material and paid out a fair bit of cash for training products, but the end result is that it certainly does work online, you will need to be ready to work though, the internet is not some lottery ticket or magic ticket to wealth, you will need to invest a lot of time and effort to get things moving. Although the internet is great for networking it cannot completely take place of phone calls and personal interaction. But by using online systems and the technology that is available today I have been able to build an impressive downline in my company in a very short space of time.
