Claude Monet (1840-1926) was a French painter
, an important figure of the Impressionist movement. His complete name is Oscar Claude Monet. Monet was born in Paris and lived in this city up to 1845 when his family moved to Le Havre in Normandy. Monet had an inclination for art since childhood; he wanted to become an artist. For this reason, he begins to study art in Le Havre secondary school of the arts.
