Does Being Shy Preclude You From Being Able To Get A Girlfriend?
The topic of being shy around women is one that not all men are comfortable openly speaking about around their peers
. Much of the reason for this is because there can be a lot of shame that goes along with the feeling of not being able to take control of your feelings and be able to gather up the strength that you need to be able to handle your shyness around women. Just because you feel a little bit embarrassed by the subject of being on the shy side when you are around good looking women, I don't think that you have to stay that way. I also don't think that you need to feel like your shyness is going to preclude you from being able to get a girlfriend. I am sure that you know plenty of guys who are not necessarily the most outgoing men that you know that happen to be in a relationship.

What it does is present an obstacle that you are going to have to be able to overcome. You don't have to turn a full 180 and become the kind of guy who never feels bashful around attractive women, but you do have to make enough of a change that you don't feel like you can't take control and approach a woman you are attracted to. Picture yourself being out at a club and you see a woman you think is absolutely lovely and you think that you want to be able to walk over to her and you want to know that you can make her attracted to you. If you remain in a state where you are always feeling shy around the opposite sex, then no matter how many times you picture yourself being able to approach a woman you are hot for, it's just not going to happen. Nothing that you do will change that until you change the way that you respond to being in the situation and being able to take control and make your move.
You are also going to have to deal with one thing that most shy guys are terrified of, and that is, being in a situation where you are able to muster up the nerve to approach a woman and having her turn you down. Rejection is the cruel reality that you have to face, because honestly with all locker room style bragging aside, most men get rejected more than they like to admit. Guys who can honestly say that they never get rejected by women also have to be able to honestly say that they never approach women. Because, when you put yourself out there and you allow yourself to be vulnerable, rejections are going to happen. You really cannot get around that and you have to be able to deal with this if you are going to put your shyness aside and you are going to be able to take control and make your move when you see a woman you like.
Finally, you have to develop skills that are going to help advance your desire to do well with women.
There are plenty of guys who can pull themselves together and they can approach women without getting too uncomfortable about it. However, not many of these kinds of guys actually do well with women. They might be able to make some conversation, they might even be able to make friends with women - but they are not always able to get dates or make a woman feel like she wants to be in a dating relationship with them. That is what you need the skills for. You need to learn the skills that it is going to take to be able to talk to women and make them feel those feelings that they are going to feel if they are going to want to date you.
