Today we will be looking at the importance of having a strong desire and the difference it can make to your life and your business.
Need for a strong desire
You need to have such a strong desire to live your dreams that it will conquer everything that gets in your way.
It needs to be a battering ram to get through the obstacles in life, a snow-plough to clear the way for you to go where you want to go. It needs to be so strong, that your fears, doubts and disbeliefs will crumble and wither at the very sight of it. It needs to be unquenchable and unstoppable until you get what you want.
The main reason that I am making such a big deal out of your desire is that the road to financial freedom and prosperity is hard. Sometimes it feels like you are trying to ice skate uphill, like running a marathon with an anchor tied around your waist, or even like running in to a brick wall. Sometimes you want to rest, sometimes you want to quit and just be content where you are. Your desire is your fuel, if you dont put good fuel in your vehicle, it doesnt work very well. If you put rocket fuel in your vehicle, everything else will either move or be destroyed.
How do you build your desire
Have you ever seen a horse with blinkers on? They are these little flaps that go over the horses eyes so it cant be distracted by whats going on out to the sides, it can only see ahead. That is what you need to create for yourself. You need tunnel vision and then to aim it at a vividly clear picture of your promise. But not just that, you need to see yourself in the picture, you need to feel the wind rushing through your hair as you drive your new boat, whatever it is you want, you need to feel it. Then, you need to focus on that, dont look to the sides, dont stop, keep moving towards your promise.
Every day, before you go to bed, think about what you need to do tomorrow to take you another step closer to your promise. When any decision comes up think Will this take me closer or further away from my promise or goal? and decide accordingly.
Remember the saying The devil makes work for idle hands It means that if you stop and look around you will find that there are a lot of distractions thrown in your way. If this happens, and Im sure that it will at some point, dont panic. Take a few minutes to focus on your promise again, then off you go again.
To really go after your desire, you have to be fearless, you have to run like you have never fallen down.
Dont stop, dont quit!
