In the cloud application s segment, the cloud delivers Software as a Service function (SaAs), where you as the user of cloud software can run or execute the application on your system without the need to install it or tend to its maintenance or support. Platform as a service (PaAs) or Cloud Platform services provide an environment for running cloud applications and maintaining them. Such services tide over the cost and effort of buying and installing the necessary hardware/software to deploy these applications. And, if you want computer infrastructure in the way of servers, network equipments, software, Cloud Infrastructure computing(IaAs) comes into the picture, where you simply pay for what you use as an outsourced service. With all its utility services, the cloud' is yet to take shape in the other two segments (platform and infrastructure) with reinforced security features, as it uses the public internet space. But this would probably be just a time-zone away considering technology's fast-paced up-scaling.
