All modes of advertising will work well if used properly

. You can see the fact that one mode of advertising uses the other mode to promote itself. Radio stations promote themselves on Outdoor Hoardings, Television and Bus Branding, TV stations list their programs in newspaper and even use Hoardings, and newspaper use Billboards, Radio ads & Cab advertising. You might have also noticed the large number of ads by various online companies in these traditional forms of media.

To use advertising correctly, the following are the requirements:

1. Demographics:

You must know what population comprises your customer base and be able to define them according to the gender, age etc.

This is the most important step as it is the base of every decision you make in advertising. If you are not sure who your customers are, you can waste a lot of money advertising at wrong places. So, you must find your customers before you select advertisement audiences.

2. Location:

Use media as per place which you want to target i.e. what you want to cover a street, a colony, a locality, a city, a state or whole country.

The more you expand your scope the more costly will be your advertising media

3. Message:

You have precious space to explain your story, so squeeze your language as much as you can. But, the message should be clear enough to give its right effect. An advertisement should be made in such a way that even if it is viewed after 20 years the viewer should come after your brand to buy your product.

4. Frequency:

Without enough frequency your customers won't see or hear your message. The frequency should be enough that your customers should keep your message in mind. It's better to place a substantial schedule on one station or in one publication or cover a specific area with outdoor hoarding than to spread a small budget out and not achieve effective frequency anywhere.

Don't just do the advertising for the sake of trying, Do it to get results.
