Are You Being Set Up To Fail In Your MLM Business?

Are You Being Set Up To Fail In Your MLM Business?

In this article I'm going to reveal which things you are likely doing in your MLM business which are sabotaging your chances of success

. . . and all of them are things you are probably being told by your company and/or your upline to do.

If you are working to build a home-based business, chances are you may have hit a brick wall or two along the way . . . especially if you have attempted to do it the way most network marketers are taught to do it, i.e., by chasing after friends, family (and anyone else you can get to listen) and begging them to join your business.

Even if I could concede that this type of marketing might work to some extent to build a downline and a home-based business, it has serious limitations. First, it is a really SLOW way to build a business. If you are like most home-based business owners, you cannot afford (literally) to have your business grow at a snail's pace.

Second, when you are relying on your "warm market" as your only and total lead pool, you will at some point run out of leads. Even the biggest social butterfly in the world only knows so many people, and eventually everyone who uses the warm market system will run out of leads.

Third and fourth, when you market by chasing people, leading with the business opportunity and by positioning your company (and not YOU) as the expert, you will suffer from retention problems from those whom you do recruit into your business. This is true for two reasons.

One, people who are only interested in a business opportunity, and who have no loyalty to either you or the product (and benefit/solution it offers), will leave your business the first time they think they have found a better business opportunity.

Two, when you are recruiting people who care about you (e.g., family, friends, neighbors and co-workers), you will always get some people who will sign up solely because they want to help you out. They really have no interest in the business opportunity or the product. Many of these people drop out after a month or a few months.

The bottom line is that this way of marketing an MLM business is inefficient, ineffective and, truthfully, outdated. That is not to say you cannot successfully market an MLM business. In fact, when you know the right way to market them -- so that you no longer chase people and instead have people chasing you wanting to get into your business -- you can create a massive and profitable organization.
