All In All It Is Never Easy To Be The Manager , Boss Or Supervisor

After the decision making process, managers and managerial supervisory staff have to step back and look at all alternatives

. It's a matter of seeing the forest from the individual trees and coming to a sensible and comfortable decision as to which individual choices is the best of the group.

Although management as well as supervisory staff often has at arms reach the assistance of either specialized personnel as well as the availability of meeting as well as focus groups to provide valuable input, ultimately to put it succinctly, the decision is theirs and theirs alone. It all comes down to accountability and responsibility.

In other steps in the decision making process - if the decision making process has been following correctly to the tee or the basic formats, it is often, if not always the case that the effective manager will have several well documented as well as thought out intrinsic decisions, all which need to do is have implemented to completion and end conclusion forthwith.

It is always important, if not vital to remember that one most valuable option, as well as effective strategy is to "sit tight" and effectively "do nothing". Sometimes this way of thought is thought of negatively. After all idle hands can be said to go the devil. Yet many times a policy of waiting and watching is the wisest and most effective of all. Time it seems has a way of working most things out. The adage "time heals all" is not only a slogan but also a truism of basic cause and effect. One can say that this single policy has saved many a manager and organization and perhaps can be seen as the wisest and most carefully considered option of all, not to be taken lightly or forsaken.

If one point should be made as well as emphasized strongly , is that the decision maker , in most if not all cases, should take the time and effort required to carefully visualize the consequences of what can and will result from the decision or decisions taken overall - both in an overall sense and micro manager forms. Only if the decision to take no action will result in the most desirable consequences should it be selected as the overall best course and courses of action. A competent manager or boss should never view a "no action decision" lightly or feel that that things, places, events or situations will remain totally unchanged as a result of it.

After all, in the first and primary place, something or some fortuitous event or series of events led him or her to this adjudication or arbitration point. It's never easy to cast the vote, to be the boss, manager or supervisor in the final analysis.
