While many Western investors remain fixated on somehow acquiring a slice of Turkmenistans natural gas riches, despite a recent scandal over the countrys actual reserves, there is another country further east whose energy and mineralogical reserves have been overlooked Uzbekistan. While a number of factors are responsible for this oversight, including relative geographical isolation (Uzbekistan, along with Liechtenstein, is one of the worlds...more
As we all live in the present, it is very hard to fully assess the future implications of decisions supported or made by political and business leaders. An extraordinary game of geo-strategy is under way to lock in long-term agreements, notably in the energy sector. At a global level, the transit routes of future oil & gas pipelines become the object of a power struggle involving not only the suppliers and end-users but also the transit...more
Stock option refers to a deal between the buyer and the seller to possess a right to buy or sell shares or stocks at a certain price. It comes with an expiry date and the buying or selling must be done before that date. But thats not compulsory for you to buy or sell any stock unwillingly. So, the stock options trading is an altogether different type of trading where you can invest your money and do trading with it. These are traded and treated in stock markets just like any other type of security. The trading success can be greatly improved by using an effective stock option trading system or software. Looking at the UK, inflation looks like it will remain around its target of 2%. Of course controlling inflation is easier said than done. No one knows what affect the quantitative easing will have on the economy in 6 months time. The focus will be on the outlook for growth and indications of when the US, European and UK stimulus packages will end. Growth is returning but, with Governments short of funds, tax rises are expected in 2010. The little growth we have could quickly end.All-in-all the markets look like they will remain volatile for quite some time. It is not all bad news though. There are a few ways of taking advantage of the market volatility. One option is spread betting, with...more
