The following day you find a message on your answer phone from him telling you how much he is looking forward to meeting up again. Everything feels good. And then for no apparent reason there is nothing. Not even a missed call.
A few days of confusion later you have to ask yourself why he vanished so mysteriously after having given you every sign to the contrary. You realize it is a classic scenario and ask your friends that all too familiar question. Why?

It is harder for a man to show his true feelings or let his guard down. A relationship that gets more involved will ask him to do this and this makes him vulnerable. No one likes to feel this way and more often than not it is just easier to simply run away.
In short the one reason why he disappeared is that he probably thought that he would have to show his true feelings to you and this would have made him vulnerable. He simply vanished as a form of self preservation and it was nothing to do with what happened at all. With time a man will get to feel the security that he needs but this can never be a rushed job. A man needs to be nurtured when it comes to the affairs of the heart. It can be as simple as that.
