A wedding is always a celebration of joy and one of the things that ever couple tries to include are flowers

. Flowers accent the bride and groom, endow with style, and make a statement about the wedding couple. The bride will almost always carry flowers, and flowers are usually arranged in artistic urns positioned on stands. She may wear flowers in her hair, and the groom will likely have a flower pinned to the lapel of his jacket.

Even though there are many varieties of flowers available for in a wedding, one of the common kinds is the orchid. You may purchase orchids in all sorts of color variations, which means that the happy couple can find exactly what they want for their special day.

Orchids can be used for a wide range of items in the wedding. They can become part of the bouquet, her hairdo might be decorated with them, they can be used in corsages for the wedding party and the mother's in-law.

What is it about an orchid that makes it perfect for a bouquet - the coloring and the perfume. The proper bouquet for a wedding will be made up of white flowers that compliment the brides white wedding gown. The flowers at the wedding are going to send a message to the guests, and here is even more reason that orchids are ideal for a wedding - orchids stand for beauty. Mixed together with white roses, you send a message that the occasion is important, filled with purity, beauty, and love.

Consider including a spray of orchids, or even just a few blossoms, in the table centerpieces. Again, remember that some orchids do have an overpowering smell and may overpower guests, or trigger allergies, so pick out some with a delicate aroma.

A unique way to use orchids in your wedding is to decorate the cake, or other food items, with them. Place orchids around the layers of the cake, and sprinkle white rose petals around them for a great accent to your wedding cake.
