And although you may initially think that this is going to require for you to have a degree in some type of dietary management, the truth is it more often than not requires for you to do nothing more than abide by two pieces of information.

First of all, you need to split every meal you eat up into 3 equally sized portions - 1 of carbohydrates, 1 of protein and 1 of vegetables - as well as incorporating some type of fat into the meal.

To make it even easier, one portion should be roughly the same size as your clenched fist.

Especially if you're new to healthy eating, carrying out this second point can make losing weight seem too much of an effort, as you'll find yourself spending longer in the supermarket looking at different foods and whether you can include them in your diet. However, it's strongly recommended that your persevere, as it becomes a lot easier as you naturally get to know what foods include what amount of, for instance, carbohydrates.

Exercising is a fantastic way to get fit and lose weight, but it's only one of the two components needed to lose weight effectively. If you spend the time understanding what it is that you're actually eating and ensure that you eat, for the most part, a healthy, well-balanced diet, combine this with regular exercise and you'll find that not only does the weight fall off you, but you're a lot fitter, too.
