The Braun Series 3 Men's Shaver - A Review Snapshot

The Braun Series 3 electric shaver is one of the most well-known razors out there. The shaver comes in over five different models (e.g., the 330, the 350cc, the 370cc) and it is the entry level series for the Braun shavers that also includes the series five and series seven.

The Braun Series 3 has a large set of features and an even bigger benefits list, but most reviewers seem to consistently point out the same set of likes and dislikes with regards to the shavers. Why don't we take a look:

Advantages:

1) Running Water Cleaning - Quite a few people mention that it is extremely quick and easy to clean a Braun Series 3 shaver using running water. The "cc" models all come with a separate base station cleaner (to be discussed later), but almost all buyers of the regular (no "cc" suffix) models (e.g., the 370) seem quite happy with their purchasing decision - noting rather specifically that their Braun Series 3 "cleans off very nicely."

2) Quite A Close Shave For An Electric Razor - Most people say that their Braun Series 3 provides a very close shave given that it's an electric shaver. The sentiment is that you shouldn't expect a shave quite as smooth as a traditional razor, but that a Series 3 will get you as close as possible for a powered shaver... without aggravating your skin.

It Depends:

1) The Cleaning Base Station - Opinions appear to be mixed for the base unit cleaning & lubricating station that is included with any "cc" Braun Series 3 model. Some folks like the ease of cleaning associated with the unit, the lubrication of the shaver, and the "lemony" scent that it leaves on the shaver. Other people complain that the base station is not needed - saying that it takes up too much space on a countertop and that the cleaning / lubricating solution is too expensive.

Annoyances:

1) Head Of The Shaver Popping Off - A few folks have noted that earlier models (in particular, the 340) have had issues with the shaver head popping off during a shave. This issue looks like it's been fixed in the newer models (e.g., the 390cc), but you should look out for it if you're considering saving a few dollars and going with one of the older models.

So that's a wrap. Hope you enjoyed learning about the Braun Series 3 and the needs of consumers in the men's grooming products market!
