1. Here's how you can deal with an obsessive dater. It is best that you hold off being too intimate with them unless you are comfortable enough and know each other beyond superficiality. Dating should not be about one night stands. When you ignore someone and not reply to their texts, you may find it an effective way of distancing yourselves from them. But you have to consider the other person's feelings as well. It's not just about being easy to get when you easily flip other. Sex can easily make people feel more vulnerable. Insecure people are more vulnerable to this since they would instantly think that they have made a connection with you. Even if you think it is.
2. Learn to read the signs. Make sure that you are tuned in to the signs. Some of these may include provocative language and behaviour which tries to catch your attention all the while. Watch for signs or way of thinking that they think that you have bonded easily and fast. The use of the word "we" prematurely is already an artificial way of saying that "we are so close". If these behaviours concern you, then try and address it right away.
3. Man overboard. Somehow, when we feel passion for someone, we have higher levels of dopamine and or serotonin. These chemicals are responsible for giving you that cloud nine feeling when you are with them. After that, when it's back to normal, you'd want to look for that "fix". Observe and ask your friends if your behaviour or someone's seems unusual. If you have any real friends, they will try and keep you out of the heartache and are smart enough to rip that phone off your hands before you can do any real damage.
4. Don't even try to do it. Stop making an obsessive stunt by creating a full and fulfilling life outside of romance. When you are out dating, make sure that you take some time to know them better before you risk everything by being intimate with them the first time, this will make you feel vulnerable. Set the rules for contact. How many texts you should send a day, when you should stop. Open up to your close friends and ask for advice when you are unsure on how you should act on a certain romantic situation.
It may be quite a little extreme but it does happen. Maybe you find it easy to text this particular person a few times each day than necessary. Or you might have met someone who's a text spree junkie. Or you may have had an encounter with one who is just too obsessive over you when it's really uncalled for. Learn to know the difference between an obsessive dater and a good one and avoid all the drama and trouble.
