Pill-based Solution For Weight Loss
Science has long since tried to come up with the best solution to augment weight
loss since these days obesity cases have been quite rampant in numbers. Most dieters still opt for the traditional ways of losing weight which includes healthy eating of good foods and fitness exercise. But in some cases, dieters who have no time to spare for such activity are opting for a more convenient approach, weight loss pills.
As a matter of fact, dieters have no problem acquiring aids in this area because there are many weight loss products manufacturers that are constantly supplying the market shelves of products that are said to induce weight loss in a faster and efficient manner. But not all weight loss products one may find is effective. There are some that can only induce more harm because the formulations are composed of mere mediocrity.
There are many ways by which weight loss pills can provide dieters of benefits. There are those that could suppress hunger which can lower ones caloric intake and provide satiety even with minimum food consumption. There are also those that could target fat burning hence decreasing the storage or accumulations of fats. And another aspect targeted by weight loss products is energy enhancement so as to enable one to endure more physical activity such as strenuous workouts.
Sounds good? But there is always a catch. As mentioned not all products can provide these results efficiently. Some products have always been known to be tailed with adverse effects. One instance reported was the use of products that contains ephedrine. This substance was initially used to cure respiratory illnesses and asthma attacks which later on found out to induce weight loss. Since then it was the most utilized ingredient among weight loss products. But after some time, adverse effects have been reported including headaches, dizziness, sleeping disorders and there were even grave cases resulting in death. This is why in 2004 it was banned by the FDA.
Even products that use herbal formulations may lead one to believe that they are safe. But on the contrary not all ingredients labeled as natural are 100% risk-free. The best example again leads to the use of ephedrine ingredient.
There are two categories for weight loss pills, the over the counter and prescription weight loss pills. The former refers to those pills that can be bought without prescriptions. They usually target one or two aspects of weight loss which was mentioned beforehand.
The latter ones are weight loss pills recommended by medical experts. These are proven safe and effective through various clinical studies but they are only limited to patients who have severe cases of obesity wherein their health is already at risk.
In general, the traditional means to lose weight is still the most recommended one. It is through the daily practice of eating fruits, vegetable and fiber rich foods along with a fitness exercise regimen to boot.
