Drinking plenty of water is required throughout the fast, after which probiotics are needed to replenish the intestinal flora and feed good bacteria that helps in digestion and fighting off bad bacteria.

It is important however that before engaging in any fasting activity medical advice should be sought to ensure safety all throughout the process.

There are other aspects affected by detoxification. Vices for one such as smoking and drinking should be eliminated. Too much caffeine consumption also needs to go. After detoxification, dieters need to improve their eating habits. This means including lots of fruits and none of the dairy products.

Be sure to engage in a daily exercise routines as well. It does not have to be a full 60 minute workout, even as short as 30 minutes can do wonders. Try brisk walking through the park or jogging when doing some errands. Listening to your favorite ipod music while doing house chores can inspire you to move to the beat and get some calories burning.
