My 15th Day on the HCG Diet: Prescription HCG Weight Loss
My 15th Day on the HCG Diet: Prescription HCG Weight Loss
It's the 15th day of my 26 day prescription HCG weight loss program. All of the diet consumer reviews I read before starting the program seemed to suggest that once you got about halfway through the diet it got easier. They said it would be more habitual to reach for fresh fruits and veggies. They also said it would be more natural to prepare foods using healthy preparation methods.
But I guess all diet consumer reviews aren't precisely accurate in their conclusions. I wouldn't say I find the diet easier. But I would say that I'm more capable. I know that I can cook healthy so if I don't it's not because I'm not sure what to do. It's because I'm just not doing it. I know which foods to eat that are HCG approved so if I eat other foods it's not because I wasn't sure if they were approved or not. It's because I just did it anyway.
So I guess that's an improvement.
Rather than being at a state of "easiness" as indicated by the diet consumer reviews I'm at a state of "awareness." And that's a good step, I would say. This morning I got on the scale and I was at 156; that's a 3 pound drop. I love that!
I took my HCG injection and my B-Total oral drops. I didn't take my B-Total vitamin supplement until mid afternoon. (I usually take it in the morning, but it can be done throughout the day as long as you take it once a day. It's optional in the HCG protocol, but I find it very useful). I read about this option in the diet consumer reviews prior to starting the diet.
For lunch I had a green onion burger (it's in the cookbook) and half a grapefruit. I had Melba Toasts for snack later on in the afternoon. I finally found some more of the Spicy 3 Pepper flavor that is so delicious. I can't decide if it's just in comparison to all the other available "cracker" flavors at my disposal or if I am going to continue thinking they're fabulous post-diet and post-maintenance when I can occasionally indulge in a Cheez It or two. We'll see, I guess.
For dinner I had the taco salad from the cookbook. It was good; not my favorite, but alright. That's probably just because Taco Salad is a classic dish that I grew up with and it's amazingly yummy the way I remember having it throughout my childhood and the HCG version just veered too far away from what I already knew. But it's worth a try for anyone looking for quick, easy, healthy meals that the whole family can eat.
