So...I'm on a 26 day Prescription HCG therapy for weight loss program so I have to note here that it feels really, really good to be able to say that I'm on Day 20! Wahoo! And yes, I remember that even after my 26 day very low calorie portion of the diet is over I still have to stick to the 26 day maintenance phase. But that's going to be cake after the VLCD! Well, it won't be cake. I'm not allowed cake during maintenance either, but you know what I mean.

Since I did the 26 day program I'll need to do a 26 day maintenance phase. But come on...you have to admit that Day 20 sounds pretty great. In fact, it sounds utterly and completely fabulous. And that's how I'm feeling today, by the way...utterly fabulous.

This morning when I jumped on the scale I hadn't lost any weight. But my jeans are too big and my belt no longer keeps my pants on. So it didn't throw me into a funk.

I took my B-Total oral drops right after I got off the scale and gave myself my HCG injection. For some reason I thought the whole injection process was going to be a lot tougher than it actually is. I fell into the habit of daily injections pretty easily.

Today I wanted to try a smoothie recipe from the cookbook. I ran out this morning to buy the ingredients (and a blender). I needed to buy a blender because I broke it months ago as we already discussed in a previous article. It was about time I replaced it. This is the second time I've "decided" to try to make a smoothie. The first time didn't go over too well because I had forgotten that I didn't have a blender. And you definitely need one to make a smoothie.

I made the Orange Slush and had it along with grilled chicken, steamed asparagus and Melba Toasts for lunch. It was great. My kids would love it. They were at school so I didn't have to share this time. But I think I'll offer to make it for them for breakfast and see what they think.

For dinner I made baby spinach (cooked), Melba Toasts and grilled chicken. I shouldn't have had chicken for two meals in one day (the protocol says not to do that) but I did it anyway. Bit lazy of me, I know, but there it is. Pure laziness had me breaking the no 2 proteins the same in a row rule just because I knew I HAD grilled chicken in the fridge and would have to cook any other protein I wanted to have.

After the kids were in bed for the night I remembered I never had a serving of fruit with my dinner. So I made another Orange Slush. The blender woke up the kids so I appeased them with fruit smoothie yumminess. They loved it.
