The Deepstar was worn by Cousteau and his team during countless expeditions throughout the 1960s and seen on their
link wrists in photos until the mid-70s. French freediver Jacques Mayol wore a Deepstar for many years, not for
link its decompression bezel, but for its chronograph, which he could use to time breath holds on
link his deep apnea dives. He was wearing the watch when he set the depth record of 75 meters on a single breath in 1968.
