This does raise the question, though, of what constitutes creative watchmaking vs. creative watch design. There's a real sense that the last thing you want in technical watchmaking is creativity. You want something that worked the

link this time, will work next time, and which in fact will work every time. Creativity, okay, that's fine for deranged Surrealists writing manifestos in the 1920s, but what you
link want in watchmaking is reliability and repeatability.
