Q220 Review An Overview Of The Weber Q220 Grill

It is really kind of amazing that I would be writng this q220 review

. The fact is, I have been using full size charcoal grills for most of my life. However, my wife convinced me that we needed a portable gas grill to accompany us on our frequent jaunts to the beach. As it turns out, the Weber Q220 was our choice.

Actually, we toyed with the idea of getting a portable charcoal grill, simply because that is what we were used to. However, I was growing weary of messing around with charcoal, not to mention the fact that it is expensive.

This particular Weber model definitely has some heft to it. While not uncomfortable to carry, it does weigh 36+ pounds. It definitely does not feel "cheap".

This unit features two polyethylene side tables so that you have a handy spot to place your grilling tools and other items aside. It also features a robust 12,000 BTUs, and a grill made from a glass-reinforced nylon frame and a cast-aluminum lid. It also has drip ducts for long term durability.

Instead of having to deal with all the hassle of building a charcoal fire, the Q220 has a very dependable automatic igniter. It generally ignites with the first try!

We were a little concerned that the grill surface and interior might not be large enough, however we were pleasantly surprised. It can handle a full 1/2 Turkey, or even 10 regular burgers.

You can conveniently check the temperature on an included thermometer in the lid.

This will make sure that the unit reaches the perfect cooking temperature. Meat sizzles on the porcelain-enameled cast-iron cooking grates.

All in all, I must admit that I am a converted ex charcoal griller, thanks to my new Weber Q220!
