Why is fat loss so hard?

Why is fat loss so hard?
First we need to talk about why fat loss products are always so much in demand, yet obesity and being overweight has become more and more prevalent and is becoming a large health problem for so many more people than used to be. The health and fitness industry has, in the last 10 years been one of the most successful industries on the market. So why has obesity become a larger and larger issue? First, there is a difference between "fat loss' and "weight loss". Weight loss mainly focuses on losing weight throughout the whole body. while fat loss focuses on losing fat in specific areas of the body
The corporations, who want to get us hooked on fatty, oversaturated, unhealthy products, bombard us with tempting commercials and marketing at every turn. Until lately, they were never interested in selling healthy products. As we learn about all the negative health effects of the products they sell because of the excess sugar, caffeine, fats and so on, more people are trying not to die from some kind of illness caused by the side effects of these ingredients. Many people are becoming aware that obesity, too much sugar, saturated fats, preservatives and more found in most of the processed food may lead to many if not most of the illnesses people suffer from. Have you ever seen an obese person who is healthy? Have you ever seen someone who eats healthy live to 100 years old without many health problems?
It really doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what's going on. For the corporations, it's all about profits for their stock holders. If they sold healthy products only, it would limit their customer base because they are the minority as consumers go, especially in the US. It would cost those more to produce the product and they would make less profit. Now if they could get you hooked on addicting sugary, over saturated fats, caffeine and artificial colors and flavors, then bombard you with appetizing commercials, which lead to buying more unhealthy products, well, then you have a booming business. A growing customer base and more profit.
That's where the money is. Have you ever noticed a big company will put out a new line, to try to appeal to a new consumer who currently doesn't use their product but they will never get rid of the old standard money making products. In fact they they'll use gimmicks to try to sell you "the old fashion" product they produced years ago, trying to stir up felling you once had about using that product. Let's take soda for an example. A major nameless soda manufacturer produces the highest selling soda on the market. They market it to major businesses, like professional sports where they sell their product. They run endless commercials to keep their product in your head.
Bad reviews start coming out about how excess sugar is unhealthy and can cause serious problems. They're next big product is "diet soda" and not just a diet soda but "sugar free soda", caffeine free soda", 0 calorie soda" and on and on. They won't just make a healthy diet soda that is sugar free, has no caffeine and 0 calories. That would reduce the market. Some people are crazy about too much sugar and don't care about the caffeine or the calories, both of which can be addicting, thus it keeps them coming back. This is true for sugar, calories and caffeine. Did you ever notice how each has its own flavor? I can tell if I'm slipped a diet soda when I wanted a regular one. This is also true with caffeine free and o calorie sodas. I can tell the difference. If you can't give the caffeine to the caffeine addicted people or the extra sugar to the sugar addicted people, then you lose customers.
Then they try to resell you the same product in an old bottle calling it "classis or original, hoping that they might bring up some old feeling about when you were young and you used their product and enjoyed it. Again, they're trying to get you right back where you started and get hooked on the caffeine, sugar and calories, their biggest selling and most profitable product. Because people are so easily seduced and brainwashed by their marketing, it has produce a country of fat addicted people and because many people have an "addictive personality" it's easy to see why obesity has become more prevalent.
People are like cattle, you lead them to a tasty food and they'll eat it. Gaining the extra weight or fat is easy and enjoyable for most people. The hard part is getting rid of it. Now you need to be dedicated to a strict and sometimes not so tasty diet and all the past temptations are still there. You still see the commercials, you still see the fast food places on every corner, so staying dedicated is not easy for everyone, it take will power, something most people don't have. And now you have to have an exercise program because just eating right will help you lose fat but only exercise will help you tone the area. There goes the time you spent watching your favorite TV show enjoying your chips and salsa, out the window. Now you can't have the chips and salsa and your exercising and missing your favorite show, thank god for TiVo!
This is why weight loss and fat loss products come out every week and are very successful. People really want to loss fat and weight but very few can actually stick to an exercise routine and a good diet while being bombarded by the unhealthy corporate marketing machine. They all think that the next program will be the one or the next diet pill breakthrough will be the one that actually help them lose fat. So they buy every program every diet pill that comes out and the weight loss industry makes a killing. Have you ever met a person who has been on a diet ever since you met them? And every time you see them are they telling you about this new fat loss product or program they're on and how good it's working? If they only worked as well as the corporate marketing and all the weight loss and fat loss products promises, they would have a fat loss problem!
It all comes down to 2 things, dedication and will power. If you can have the dedication to stick to a diet and by diet I mean a well-balanced, low calorie plan and have the will power to do the exercise needed, you will lose as much body fat or weight as you want and you'll do it without jeopardizing your health to untested pills and programs that may be harmful.
