Menopause is very normal and all women experience it as they grow older in life

One of the most common signs of menopause is hot flashes. Most women report that they are affected by this symptom. It is a feeling of warmth over the upper body that usually will result in sweating. The severity of the hot flashes varies from person to person. Not all women will experience the same severity with the hot flashes.

Other signs and symptoms include: irregular or skipped periods, fatigue, mood swings, insomnia, headaches, racing heart, depression, irritability, changes in the sex drive, bladder control problems, vaginal dryness, joint aches and pains and muscle aches and pains. Everyone does not experience all of these problems; it could be that they only experience just a few of the signs or symptoms.

Women are more likely to experience certain health problems after they have experienced menopause. Some of these health problems include: osteoporosis, heart disease, poor bladder control, poor bowel function, increased wrinkling, etc. There are things that you can do to help prevent some of these health problems. You will need to speak with your doctor about the subject.

Menopause is a normal part of the aging process for women. Every woman will experience it. You can talk to your doctor about any questions that you may have and they will be able to answer your questions properly. They may be able to even prescribe medication that can help you through this tough time, whether it is for depression or hot flashes.
