There is a lot of talk about the family unit being on the verge of diminishing to just an obligation
. I have seen many families that merely exist. They dont do things together; they hardly even know what is going on with each others lives. And this is usually happening between the parents and the kids. Often, parents are trying so hard to provide the family with a nice house, two cars, hobbies and trips that the most important thing is forgotten: the family and the people it consists of. Also, I can tell you that no material or bought thing can ever replace the value of a real interaction and quality time together. My husband and I were caught in work two years ago until we realized that our kids were shifting further and further from us. That was the turning point when we decided to change things around before it was too late. And we are so glad we did.

This place was to be our living room which had enough space for everyone. However, the problem was that the kids werent finding it a nice place to unwind in.
