Wash My Feet at Our Wedding?
While I totally understand the symbolism and spiritual significance, I'm not sure it's feasible to do a this type of thing at our wedding. Part of me really likes the idea, because we're not going any other ritualistic types of things (i.e. a sand or candle ceremony), but the other part of me thinks washing each other's feet could get a little messy (literally and logistically).
When I researched the subject, I found this beautiful wedding video.I'm sort of at a loss for words, which never happens to me! I think the ritual was really sweet and special at this ceremony. The song that was played and the look on the bride and groom's face totally made me want to cry! I'm still not sure how I feel about us doing it, though.
I think she was on Say Yes to the Dress, I remember the head scarf. Or at least some wedding show that I'm hopelessly addicted too .Very beautiful, fits the woods kind of wedding, proabbly not going to work for a traditiona church wedding like I'm having though.
I haven't seen anything like this before - The ceremony was so sweet! And the music was the icing on the cake. She looks so happy! But I know I couldn't do something like this since I'm ticklish lol and my feet are big and even though my FI likes them I don't like broadcasting it to the whole world .This is definitely something new.
It's a very sweet idea, but I won't even go for a pedicure for fear of kicking some unfortunate beautician in the head! I kick like an ass when I'm tickled. It would indeed be a memorable wedding hahaha
This is soooooo NOT my wedding style with the earthy nature scene, but I am MOVED by them. I actually have tears in my eyes. How beautiful to see a couple who is living in the spirit of the Lord. I may have to find a way to incorporate this in our simple wedding invitations.
I actually have thought about incorporating this too, because of how deeply personal it is. I love the idea! But, I am also just not sure how it would fit in! Glad you're thinking about this too, though.
