A structured refeed is basically a day long high carb meal. What this does is turn off the catabolism that is eating your muscles up as your cells have their glucose levels replenished. Your hormone levels go back to normal, allowing your hypothalamus to relax, so that your fat becomes susceptible to break down for a small period after you resume your diet the next day.

Remember, the goal is to eat a lot of carbs, and not a lot of carbs and fat, which means this isn't a whole day of cheat meals, but rather a very specific time in which to consume a lot of carbs but little fat so as to trick your body into relaxing its guard and going back to normal. Don't eat a ridiculous amount of food either, but just a good solid meal each time you eat, and you should be doing great.
