Now, when we go out on dates; we can't seem to view it as we did before. Every date that you go to should not be wasted on superficial and commitment phobic people. Dates should be relaxed, light and fun; and let's face it, it seems that you won't be falling in love immediately with a guy you first met. 1. You must know what you want. If dating before is just a random act for you, you have to be more mature now. You are already mature enough to grow and learn from your past relationships. This should at least give you an idea on what you are looking for in a guy. This means what you want to see in a guy, and shun out what you don't want in a potential partner. It's about making clear about the qualities that you admire in a person. By doing this, you can avoid going out with the wrong kind of person.
2. Keep your research to yourself. If you know the name of the person you are about to date, you'd want to know all that you can about him in your own way. This means asking his friends or colleagues and even going online and looking at his records and social sites. Telling him all the things you know about him will just creep him out; it's rather creepy when you think of it. Next time that you gather data about your date, keep the info for yourself as to not surprise him with your knowledge about him.
3. Be more up-front. You are not getting any younger, so suck in your guts. Guys won't admit it but they enjoy a woman who has the guts to say out loud that she's keen to meet again. If you find yourself scheduling for a second date, don't wait for him to do the next move if it takes too long. Maybe he will or he won't, so it's up to you. Be clear and open about your interests in him and the kind of relationship that you want.
Before, it don't matter if you and your date isn't compatible as long as you have one. But now, you would want to know if you are barking on the right tree before your pursue. If you find that your date has a potential to be a partner then don't scare them away with the commitment talks. You can avoid all these games and be more serious about it. State it clear that you are not just for booty calls, you are in for a serious relationship.
