Believe it or not, there are different couple types
. Each couple type represents a certain attitude or personality which defines it. Do you find yourself always in a quarrel with your partner? Do you see yourself being a martyr in your relationship? Psychologists have identified the different couple types- or would like to be. This will hold the key to a better understanding of your relationship. This will help in keeping your relationship happy and content while you understand your partner better.
Here are four different couples that are categories according to types:
1. The Cat-Dog Couple. We know what's the relationship of cats and dogs. These couple often fall into rows and quarrels. They constantly fight over the littlest thing, whether in public or private; it doesn't seem to bother them. So why are they still together? Because these types of couples "enjoy" the cycle of fights and then make up. After a fight, usually hot sex follows just to make it up.
2. The Pursuer-Distancer Couple. This couple has a certain cycle that goes on about them, the one chases the other. One would try to secure the other's attention, affection and approval. The other one likes to pretend and act bored; as they aren't interested about it and that the chase is dull and boring when in fact it's the opposite. On the other hand, this role can be reversible on both partners. When one feels that the other is not interested then the one doing the distancer rule will become the pursuer.
3. The Parent-Child Couple. This is more like of being the dependent couple type. We all have an idea of a parent-child relationship. The one who nurtures and protects the them while the other acts meek and dependent. The one who acts "parents" can be overly protective of their partner and they like the role of nurturer. By caring for that person, they feel that they have found a purpose and is important to them. On the other hand, the child partner may seem weak and may lack the self-esteem as opposed to the parent counterpart. They like to be nurtured by their partners.
4. The Idol-Fan Couple. This is a kind of relationship where everything is black and white. For one of them, their partner is the perfect lover, wonderful and flawless; they worship them wholeheartedly. In reality, both can be attractive and successful; but one becomes the worshiper in order to boost the other's self-esteem. Often times, the one who becomes the idol obsesses much on the idea of being worshiped that they tell the fan they are nothing without them. Even to the point of telling them that they won't find another person who will get to love them. This is a short lived relationship since there's really no room for each to develop. The idol loves the limelight and will love to go out with other fans. The fans may take their stand and say that they'd rather find someones else who will appreciate them.
There are more couple types out there, but with these top four couple types; which one do you belong to? Are you the superior or the inferior one in the relationship?
