Lose Weight Quickly And Efficiently By Following This Seven Point Plan

With Christmas now only a few weeks away, it's time for you to pick one of two options

in terms of your weight if you're currently unhappy with how much you weigh.

The first is to sit back and remain as you are, whether that's particularly overweight or just carrying an extra few pounds.

The second is the one that most people want to opt for, but which don't think they can achieve and it's to take a control of their dieting habits and lose weight before 25 December.

If you're one of the people who does fall into the second category and wants to lose weight - but doesn't think that they can - take a look through the following seven point plan which should see you drop at least a few pounds before Christmas.

1. Cut back on the carbs - during the winter months, it's natural for most to eat more carbohydrates than usual, as they're the food group that help fill you up and give you energy.

However, they are also the ones that are responsible for excess weight gain (if the energy stored isn't used) and therefore it's advised that you cut back on the amount of carbs that you eat.

You don't have to stop altogether, but try and limit them to one meal a day and have a wholegrain variety where possible.

2. Drop the alcohol - simply put, alcohol is fattening and therefore it's recommended that you become teetotal for a few weeks.

If you want a drink and can't resist, however, go for a clear spirit and a diet mixer, as this is the drink with the least calories.

3. Have three well balanced meals a day... - whilst most people say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, the truth is you shouldn't be skipping breakfast, lunch or dinner and each should be made up of a selection of different food groups.

4. ...and two snacks - although you shouldn't be snacking on biscuits or crisps, it's advised to eat in between meals, by having a banana or carrot batons, for example, so to ensure that your metabolic rate remains high and continues to process food quickly and efficiently.

5. A little bit of bad is good for you - one of the reasons that a lot of people losing weight fail to stick to their diet is that they cut out everything that's bad for their diet.

Whilst this is good in theory, it can mean that you become disillusioned with the whole dieting process and give up easier. Therefore, if you want a piece of chocolate now and again, have a piece - but make sure it really is only a piece.

6. Attend gyms - exercise is imperative to any weight loss program and the best way to ensure that you exercise regularly is to attend gyms.

Aside from the fact that gyms have all of the necessary pieces of equipment that you need, as you have to pay out a monthly membership, you can feel somewhat obliged to go, so to ensure that you get the most from your money.

7. Plan your day - simple yet particularly effective, if you spend time planning your day, from what you have to eat in the morning to when you can exercise in the evening, you'll find that eating healthily and exercising becomes second nature and part of your daily routine.
