Another great advantage with drinking plenty of water is that it flushes out toxins from the body very effectively. Toxins remain in the fat cells of your body and when they are flushed out from the body, the fat cells become too weak to resist your efforts to shed weight.
Another effective step to lose weight is to change your pattern of your eating. If you are used to eating three large meals daily, you must change this routine to eating six or seven smaller meals eaten at more frequent intervals. The point is not to reduce the total quantity of calories but to split them into several smaller meals. Larger meals will leave unburned calories but smaller meals will help you to burn all the calories because your body metabolism gets a boost with this style of eating. This will help you in losing weight.
You should also start eating slowly, if you want to lose weight. The strange thing about your brain is that it takes twenty minutes for your brain to realize that you are eating. So, if you eat fast, before the brain realizes that you are eating, you will end up over-eating. However, if you bite each morsel of your food many times and eat them at a leisurely pace, you are allowing the brain sufficient time to realize that you are eating. When the brain gets this message, it will order you to stop eating once you reach the right level. This will help you in avoiding over-eating and so losing weight logically becomes an easy step.
You should also avoid eating your dinner late because if you go to bed immediately after your dinner, you will not burn the calories contained in your dinner completely. This is because your physical activity during nights will be almost nil. However, if you have a gap of about two hours between the time of your dinner and the time of your retiring for bed, your digestion will have been completed by then and hence burning of calories by your body and losing weight become easy.
