Buy some mints, chocolates or any of your favorite little candy treats in bulk to get a good price and pack them into some beautiful decorative wedding favor boxes.
These come in an assortment of colors and patterns and you will be able to select one, or mix and match to enhance the table decorations and work in your color scheme and theme. Another easy way is to have a gift that serves two purposes. Several small picture frames or coasters that hold photos can be used and place card holders as well. At the reception they will indicate assigned seating and guests taking home these dainty frames can insert them into their home or on their desk at work. A picture frame is lovely little trinket and useful accessory for the wedding day and to be used for days after.
There is nothing wrong with being 'thrifty' at all. Weddings can become an enormous expense if you get carried away with the details. Remember what is important at the end of the day, you married your best friend and you were able to have your family and friends there to share in this important moment.
