Several observations and survey suggest that diets proposing low carbs are not proving very helpful either. Low carb diet means cutting down substantially on carbohydrates intake. Carbohydrates are meant for supply of energy for the body. But is if substantial amount of energy supply is being cut off, it would lead to wear and tear of the body. Low carb diets are very strict and not every commoner can follow it. With very packed schedules, one needs to have ample energy supply.

Idiot proof diet constitutes of a varying diet plan for everyday. Food intake pattern for each day of the week keep varying. But the total calorie intake per week remains the same.

All kinds of healthy food are incorporated in the diet plan and different kinds of food are taken in everyday.

The principle idea is to keep the metabolic system confused regarding the eating pattern of the body so that it cannot get adjusted to the intake style and consequently, cannot slow the process down. So the metabolic system has to perform differently according to each kind of food intake.
