I Pray This Man Does Not Burn The Quran!
There is a Pastor who has publicly announced his plans to burn the Quran on 9/11/10
. I am a minister of the Gospel myself, but such matters need to be looked at according to the Holy Bible. "Love thy neighbor, as thyself." comes to mind first.
One cannot offend another person without offending the LORD. "For what ye do to another, ye have done unto me, and whatsoever ye do for another, ye have done it for me." It is my prayer, that this man go not through with the act.
God Word calls His children "peacekeepers." In order to be a peacekeeper, one cannot do acts that offend other people's religion. Every person has the right to believe whatsoever they want. The LORD God is the one true judge, and His Word tells us to "judge not, lest ye be judged."
God Himself holds each of us responsible for our own actions, and He does so, in this lifetime. The accountability we give unto the LORD, we do so by the spirit of truth, the Holy Ghost. If our conscience be smitten by an act of sin, does not the Holy Ghost convict us, to have us confess it, and turn away from it?
Facebook shows something like 8,000 supporters of this man, but I believe that many more are against such a blatant act. Most people realize that such an act could have repercussions that go much further than simple words of disgust. It would seem to me that wars have been started over less
Our troops are in Afghanistan on a peace keeping mission, how would such an act be viewed by the Muslim community? "I judge no man, for the Word shall judge him, in the last days." Therefore, it is not in my spirit to condemn no man. However, I do pray the man will change his mind, and decide not to go through with this.
We prove our love to the LORD by how we treat other people. How can we say we love the LORD, and yet have hate for our brother at the same time? The Word of God says "if a man seem to have religion, but hath not love, his religion is in vain." Has not the Word told us to "pray for all men."? "For it is not my will that any man perish, but all come to the knowledge of the truth."
