Do you have a pattern to the way you eat? Or do you eat in a sporadic fashion? Having a pattern can be much better than eating sporadically, particularly if the pattern you eat with is a good one. A good pattern can mean the difference between weighing what you should and what you shouldn't.
Let us define what we mean by pattern. An eating pattern means what times of the day you are in a routine of eating. It also includes how much you eat at those times of day. And the selection of foods you enjoy at those times of the day that you eat at.
Sporadic eating is basically eating whenever you can get a chance to do it. You hardly ever eat at the same times. You have no routine. Generally this is how people who lead busy lives eat. It is also a very bad way to eat as your metabolism has no balance to adjust against.
If you lead a busy lifestyle you should still seek to have a diet plan that is formed in a pattern. Eat at the same times of day with a certain calorie structure.
It has been said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It is true that breakfast is an important meal to get our metabolism moving with. However some have the mistaken viewpoint that this means we should eat a very large breakfast as it should be the largest meal of the day. Doing that can have a bad effect. We can end up feeling sluggish and tired for the rest of the day. Instead a well balanced breakfast that is not a large meal is best.
Many have found the best eating pattern is one that features many small meals throughout the day. This is a good eating pattern. As we keep the metabolism going without knocking it for a loop at a particular meal time.
So work on establishing a diet plan that has a pattern and is well balanced. You'll feel more energy and will avoid putting weight on.
