How To Have More Time With Your Kids Without Sacrificing Income
All parents have probably been in a situation where they feel that its as if they are not the one who raised or are raising their children
. Not spending quality time or even just a little time with our children is, for most parents, inevitable. They have to choose between work and them. It is really not a dilemma since spending a lot of time with their children instead of working means that they will not be able to provide them with what they need, or to pamper them with what they want.
We all want our children to live a life that they can enjoy and if sacrificing spending time with them is the only solution, most parents will probably do that. It really hurts of course the moment your kid barely knows you. They will never understand the sacrifice that you are making until they themselves experience it. There are families that are not in this kind of situation so for arguments sake, I am referring to the general public.
These situations and emotions triggers parents especially women to consider working from home. Although working from home is very convenient and we will be able to be with our kids all day, some think of it as a career sacrifice. It doesnt have to be like that. If that is one of your concerns, just think outside the box. You do not have to work in a building in order to practice your career. There are some exceptions but there is always a way to work things out. Another concern is you wont make as much money or you wont be as busy compared to when you have a job. Contrary to that, working from home may double or even triple your previous income, and when it comes to being busy, you ca be twice as busy if you want to. Working from home means that you are your own boss. Set challenging goals and give yourself deadlines.
