Before I break down the steps needed to get your ex back, I want you to take a long, hard look at the situation and at yourself.
If youre even thinking about getting back with her, its obvious youre in a place of emotional distress. Take some time to cool down and honestly assess if you want to be with her again.
If she broke your heart and you just want that relationship again just so you can feel emotionally stable, this probably isnt the best route to go. Instead, find a better girl who will honestly reciprocate the feelings you give to her.
Also, if the relationship was ended for real reasons like a lack of connection, cheating or an even more serious issue, returning to that volatile situation is unhealthy for both you and your ex.
Examine how you factored into the relationships demise as well. Were you controlling? Were you too needy? Did you become boring?
Regardless, something you did (or didnt do) made you less attractive in her eyes and if it is something as serious as you being a controlling freak, thats a real problem you need to address.
These issues shouldnt be taken lightly so honestly assess yourself and the situation. Getting back into a bad relationship will only lead to more negative interactions, so before you take the first step, make sure getting back with your ex is the healthy and right option for you.
Going Dark
Now that youve decided that getting back with your ex is the right option for you (and Ill warn you one more time because theres no turning back), its time to go dark.
For 30 days, dont contact her at all through any medium.
Dont call her, dont text her, dont tweet her, dont even like her cute cat video on Facebook for at least a month. Even if she reaches out to you: ignore, ignore, ignore.
The reason why you want to go cold for this amount of time is to let the negative emotions associated with the relationship dissipate. This allows the air to clear so you can start with a fresh slate when you contact her again.
This also means not posting anything negative on any of the social media sites you use. Dont post one of those tacky statuses saying how bad you feel because some girl hurt you. Shell see right through it and will be completely turned off by your emotional immaturity.
If shes feeling bad about the break-up, not contacting her or responding to her will create a sense of mystery about how you are feeling. If she doesnt see you acting down and out, it will keep her guessing and make her curious about how you feel about her.
Meet New Women
The next step is to start surrounding yourself with new women.
It may be hard putting yourself back out there after a nasty break-up, but this part is key if you want to get your ex back.
Meeting new women does two things: gets your ex out of your mind while also making her jealous.

Put HER in the Friend Zone
Now you dont want to immediately flaunt the new women in your life in front of your exs face.
Instead, when you do contact her again, you want to keep things amicable and start things off like you were when the two of you were in a good place in your relationship.
Have a fun time with her and even take her out places. However, subtly, you want to put her in the friend zone.
Talk to other girls in front of her, bring her to places where other girls know you (and want you) and ultimately just let her know that you have other girls in your life. At the same time though, you want to have fun with her while planting seeds of jealousy in her mind.
The more shes sees you with other women, but is having fun with you on friendly terms, it will create a conflict in her mind. This also adds in an element of sexual tension as shes seeing you in a positive and attractive light once again, but has to get past these other women to get your attention.
How to Get Your Girlfriend Back The Talk

Optimally, this will be at a time when her emotions are running high and shes having conflicting thoughts about you. Openly talk about the problems you two had and say that since you are in a better emotional place, the two of you can resolve them.
Once youve slept with her again and can keep the positive emotional vibes going, getting back into relationship status shouldnt be a problem.
