Choosing vibrant colors for summer weddings or seasonal colors for fall and winter weddings is always encouraged. Try to avoid colors that are overly feminine unless the groom has signed off on it.
Once the colors have been chosen, the amount of decorations necessary for your venue needs to be determined. If your wedding is outdoor, you don't need to worry about greenery or as many flowers, however, lighting and shade or rain cover are crucial. If the event is indoors, consider lots of flowers and other plants to liven up the space.
It is also important to consider how large the space is. Do you want an intimate feel or more dramatic and awe-inspiring? Or if you plan on having dinner with all of your guests, it is possible to have the guests seated at tables to both watch the ceremony and eat dinner.
