Had A Blast In Vegas !

Las Vegas, Nevada baby !

I love Vegas. I just do. My first trip there was over thanksgiving in 2001. That"s pretty easy to remember considering my wife found out she was pregnant on that trip. Not something easily forgotten. My wife has since gone through chemo and radiation for breast cancer, so the son she was pregnant with at the time happens to be our only offspring. But we love him so much and we are thankful for him and her good results with that battle.

It was a great trip though. We had never been to Vegas. We received a gift to take a trip with a couple of family members for what I think was 5 nights, but not positive, it"s been a while. We stayed at the Rio which was really nice. I"d put it up there with MGM which I have also stayed at. We had a really nice room with an awesome view. This was our first trip to Vegas and I didn"t realize how big it was. In addition it was interesting to me that you could get a free cocktail if you were sitting at a table or playing a slot. Greygoose on the rocks ? It"s yours as long as your playing ! I loved that. It was amazing to see some of the great hotel/casino"s. I had a great time in all of them. I am a big Detroit Lions fan, I know that"s unfortunate, but nonetheless. We watched the thanksgiving day game in the ESPN Zone which was awesome. Would have been smarter on my part to bet against Detroit rather than for, but what do you do when you"re a fan ? Of course I didn"t win anything as Detroit hasn"t done much in the last twenty years or so. All in all, if you like to gamble and haven"t been to Vegas you are seriously missing out ! Get there and get there now ! I have been there twice since and am going again in February of 2011. By the way, I did not have a great experience with a buffet as I usually do not, but most of them aren"t great as far as I can tell. But there is a bunch of places to get great food, assuming you"re willing to pay a bit. Either way, go have some fun and see the sites ! Our economy needs it and you"ll have a blast !
