There are many ways to lose weight but whilst some of them allow you to do this more

quickly and easier than others, it is important to understand that a very quick diet is not necessarily a healthy option.

If you want to lose weight and keep it off, try to drink at least 3 litres of water throughout the day. Water is an appetite suppressant, which helps you to eat less than normal, washes the toxins out of the entire body, and it keeps it hydrated. It is also good for the circulatory system, fighting against high blood pressure.

When it comes to food, you should choose a diet rich in fibres because this helps food to move better in the stomach and in the bowels, and being low in calories this also leaves less room for other food. Even though there is a belief that fat leads to obesity, a normal diet should include fats because the human body uses them to produce fatty acids. Try to also ensure that your diet includes proteins, which will keep you feeling full and balance the carbohydrates, preventing diseases such as diabetes.

To get the best results from your diet, you should try to eat five times a day, because frequent meals allow the stomach and the duodenum to digest food better. At least three times a day you should eat fruits and salads. Whenever you feel hungry, eat something low in calories. Many people lose track of how many calories they eat every day, but you can keep a diary to record the calories consumed each day. Another good tip is to use smaller plates in darker colours which will help suppress your appetite.

As a rule of thumb do not skip breakfast if you want to keep to a realistic diet. If you must, you can sometimes skip dinner, but do not make a habit of it. By skipping breakfast, you will be hungry throughout the day and this will make you eat more at lunch and later at night. Skipping breakfast will also distort hunger signals, making it difficult for the brain to determinate when you are full.

Finally, like it or not, but a little exercise to burn the fat and to increase the metabolism will accelerate your weight loss. Running at least ten minutes, or walking half an hour a day is all you will probably need to get good results.
