, time is against you and hope also. Though being aware of the severe health implications of being overweight, you should not postpone your action. It is better you take a decision soon and act.
Skipping breakfast is one of the most foolish steps to lose weight. In fact, breakfast should supply most of the nourishment and energy of the entire day and if your body is deprived of this energy and nourishment, your body will not be functioning to its optimum efficiency, resulting in under-performance of all your activities during the day. If you skip your breakfast, you will tend to overeat during your lunch and dinner and this may result in weight gains
Likewise crash dieting and starving are also not advised if you wish to lose weight. By crash dieting and starving, you convey a wrong message to your body that food may not be available in sufficient quantities for its maintenance and so it should start storing calories for its maintenance. Calories thus stored will increase your weight. By starving and crash dieting, there will be nutritional imbalance also.
Instead of eating three large meals, you should split them into six smaller meals so that your metabolism improves and all the calories contained in the smaller meals are burned completely. But if you continue to eat three large meals, all the calories contained in these three large meals will not be burned completely and so there will be gain in weight.
You should eat slowly, if you want to lose weight. When you are hungry and eat fast, your brain may not get the message that you are eating and sufficient food is available. Before your brain realizes that you are eating, you will have over-eaten because the brain realizes that you are eating only twenty minutes after you start eating. So you should bite your morsels of food very well and eat them slowly so that you give your brain sufficient time to realize that you are eating. By doing so, you will tend to eat less of your food.
You should drink lots of water to reduce your weight. Water has the capacity to remove the toxins from your body. These toxins reside in the fat cells of your body and when they are removed from your body, the fat cells become weak and you can lose weight fast. Water also fills your stomach fast and hence if you drink two or three glasses of water prior to taking your regular diet, you will eat less of your regular diet. Likewise, if you eat a large quantity of fresh fruits and vegetables before your meal, you will not eat more of your regular food and this will also help you to lose weight.
Apart from the above, if you do your exercises regularly, you will succeed in burning more calories thus helping you in reducing your weight. You should do both cardio exercises and weight training exercises. Cardio exercises help you in burning calories. You should do your weight training exercises to build your muscles. If you have good muscles, losing weight becomes easy because muscles need more calories for their maintenance and in addition to that, calories are burned throughout the day. This will help you in burning calories and reducing weight.
