Do You Really Need An Accelerated Fat Loss Diet?

One of the most difficult things to accept is that just as it takes a long time to put on a lot of weight, it can take a long time to reduce it

. Then again, this is not always a completely accurate statement.

It can often take LONGER to get rid of fat than it is to acquire it. Eating a number of high calorie, high fat fast found meals could pack on 2lbs of fat in a week. Burning off two pounds of fat in a week is much, much harder to accomplish. However, there are accelerated fat loss diet programs that can be employed to speed up your weight loss goals.

But, a question does arise: is it necessary to take part in an accelerated fat loss diet? Honestly, only the individual seeking to actually lose weight can answer such a question. Some may feel that dropping weight in an expedited a manner as possible is their best bet while others are more willing to take a patient approach. Again, it is up to the individual to decide which type of diet program is best sought. In general, it does not hurt to start out with an accelerated fat loss diet and then toning it down.

The amount of calories you cut out on a diet will depend upon how many calories you are eating. Those eating an outrageously high calorie diet of 4,000 calories per day can cut 1500 calories rather easily. How so? Well, if you were eating fast food three times a day, 4,000 calories would not be hard to reach. If you made a switch to organic food and sugar free beverages, the reduction in carbohydrates and saturated fat could easily tip the scales of 1500 calories per day.

(Three glasses of sugary soda alone would be 300+ calories) Those that are only eating 2500 calories per day certainly could not cut 1500 calories out their diet per day without starving themselves. Such an approach would also be unnecessary as cutting a mere 400 calories per day out of such a low calorie diet could be considered a very effective accelerated fat loss diet.

Taking part in an accelerated fat loss diet program will eventually run into issues with the body's metabolism. Namely, once your body gets used to the fact it is getting fewer calories, it will slow its metabolism down out of fear of starvation. Granted, you are not really starving but your body has been conditioned to assume food sources have become scarce.

Hence, your metabolism will slow down. Such metabolic function was developed during the Stone Age and it will take another million years before the human body alters its metabolic function. Remember, the body will slow down the metabolism to preserve its life. It won't let go of such a habit' any time soon.

Ultimately, it does not matter how much time passes for you to lose weight because the time will pass whether you are dieting or not. The key really should be living a healthy life and enjoying the weight loss that comes with it.
