Different ranges of erecting wooden or metal structures that can create a beautiful garden
Garden structures can be made from a number of materials
, although wood and metal tend to be the most popular choices, though you will also need to choose your preferred design, shape, style and size making it easy to find something that is suited to your garden, however big or small.
Garden buildings and structures are able to provide a solution to many problems, such as supporting plants, improving garden storage facilities and creating nice places to sit and relax in the garden, or they can be used purely for decorative purposes.
Archways are one of the most popular sorts of
garden structures that people tend to use in their gardens, from classic design trellis sided wooden arches or enclosed bath arches that are covered over to rose arches made from rustic wood or cast iron. Wooden arches are likely the more commonly used archway because they are easy to customise; stain can be applied to the wooden surfaces to add contrast to plant stems and introduce colour into the garden. Because metal archways don't require as much maintenance, such as staining and preserving with wood treatment, a number of people will choose them over wood, though there is the option of tanalised timber, which although more expensive, does not need to be treated or stained each year, so the amount of maintenance, and therefore time and money, spent over the lifetime of your arch will be reduced. Furthermore, any wood against the ground is less likely to rot or suffer moisture damage, and the natural weathering process can enhance the look of the product.
Should you be looking more for additional seating, but you like the look of archways, an arbour might be a more attractive option for you because they are made up of a seat or bench and often have trellis or decorative metal sides which provide support to climbing plants growing up the sides of the structure. You can choose between normal untreated wood and tanalised timber, as with archways, and you can stain or paint them to suit your personal taste.
Other garden structures that you may consider are pergolas and pagodas which are well suited to being erected over a terrace, patio or hot tub. These can be custom made to suit the size of the area you want to fill and there are also different shapes to choose between such as square, star shaped and circular designs.
Garden building erection is a useful and cost effective way of increasing storage space with available options including full length work sheds and storage containers designed to hold furniture, bikes or garden tools. Another popular garden building option is a summerhouse which provides shelter from showers and wind and they can be filled with comfortable seating such as cane furniture and there is even the option of connecting electricity to them so you can enjoy listing to music or connect up a television.
No matter what sort of structure of garden building you settle on, you will have a garden and outdoor area that is somewhere you enjoy spending time and relaxing with family and friends.
