2. Transition stage: In this transition stage since you might have lost some weight, you can start reducing the intake of medifast meals and can increase the intake of your regular meals. Here, the calorie intake will be around 1500 per day. In this stage, the meals recommended by medifast will differ from one individual to another on the basis of the weight lost by them in the first stage.
3. Maintenance stage: Even though, this stage is the last stage, the dieter should be careful at this stage since if he fails to maintain the food habits, there are chances of regaining weight (i.e.) he should keep himself away from unwanted fatty foods. Here, a healthy diet of not more than 1500 calories should be maintained. At this stage, your body would have adjusted fully to the new eating habits.
