Patients cured for testicular cancer have an estimated 2% to 5% chance of developing the collateral testis tumor within 25 years after initial diagnosis. Men who were treated with nonseminomas have a lower risk of having cancer on the other testicle than those with seminomas. Many people hearing the word cancer and immediately start to panic.
