Choosing Between Pilates And Yoga

, and choosing the best one would not be easy. Today, the most popular one are pilates and yoga. What are their similarities and difference? Is one better than the other?
The two exercises are based on three same principles: strength, slimming, and stamina. In Yoga however, aside from the three principles, your mind is also involved. Doing yoga could calm your mind.
Yoga is a kind of exercise that is very relaxing. It doesn't require you to do tough and hard exercises that usually some exercises demand. It is more on stretching and concentration. In yoga, you don't exert too much effort yet it is still considered as one of the best exercises. It is enjoyable especially to those who do not do workouts often.
Pilates on the other hand is also a new kind of exercise almost the same to yoga. However, this kind of exercise requires you to exert more effort. This is more exhausting compared to yoga because this increase your heartbeats.
Mostly dancers and athletes prefer this kind because this compels you a lot balance and skills.
You think then what exercise is best for you. The two are best exercises only that in yoga, it doesn't only exercise your body but your mind as well. Pilates requires more stretching than yoga. It requires you more workouts and will harden your muscles than that of yoga. The first time you try it, you can ask yourself how did you do it and realize after that there are things you think you cannot do but are possible.
Though both offer a number of advantages, it is really hard to decide which one is better until one tries both. After trying both exercises, one can then choose not only from opinions of other people, but from first hand experience.
If you like both of them at the end of the try outs, you can always alternate the exercises on your schedule. This way, you are adding variety that could make the exercises more interesting for you.
