Does this sound familiar? Have you tried dieting and seem to just give up and then when you have finished dieting you are heavier than before you started dieting? Are you sick of spending hours exercising and just can't be bothered?
This is for you then, how many times in your life have you tried dieting and then given up? 1, 2, 4, 5, 10 or more? Do you get into this pattern when you look in the mirror or something trigger you into thinking I really need to lose weight' then you decide to go on a diet and exercise every morning by getting up in the early hours to workout or go for a run or walk. Then 2-3 weeks later you start to lose motivation and can't be bothered to get out of bed and then you see that chocolate you really want and your plan or dieting and exercising goes out the window.
Well you are not along, what this is is about you creating the right goals and plan to succeed and without it you are doomed to failure each and every time you try. What I mean by this is you need to look into your controlling factors before you start otherwise you will not succeed. This is about creating the right pathways to success and this will help you lose weight for good and keep it off. Losing weight is not about yo-yo dieting (I heard a funny saying about this the other day yo-yo dieting is when you say yo hotdog guy, yo peanuts guy, yo hamburger guy, yo chips guy' that's yo-yo dieting, it was American) The major key to help you lose weight is to stop dieting, never dieting again as it just doesn't work.
So what is going to help you lose weight and keep it off? That is simple, your pleasure and pain conditioning. This means when you do things in your life you will either do them to gain pleasure or to avoid pain and most times you will want to avoid pain more than gain pleasure so this is also why people lose the weight they want then when they get to there goal they stop trying anymore and then go back to being fat again.
When you are on your diet and you see something you know you want but shouldn't or can't have because your on a diet you will associate ultimate pleasure with having it and if you do eat it you will realise the pleasure you wanted was short lived and now you have the pain of being fat. Now on the other hand if you didn't eat it, it is because you associate eating it with the pain of being fat and you don't want that so you will not eat it in order to stay thin or keep at your plans to be thin.
So how can this work in your favour? You need to look at what drives you? What is driving you? And how you can use these to help you lose weight. You need to ask yourself some questions to find out why you want to lose weight and what will be the pleasure of being thin and what will be the pain if you don't lose weight?
Being thin is about your choices when and how you respond is about your associations in your life and your drive for pleasure and need to avoid pain.
So next time you think about eating something you think or shouldn't eat just remember if your drive for pleasure is enough to stop you and your need to avoid pain in the future is pain enough to also stop you. When you add both of these together you will realise that you have the inner strength to do what you want, be who you want to be and have the ultimate body you really want and desire.
