Setting the foundations to help you lose weight the right way.

It seems that in times we struggle to follow through with our goals and then in turn we don't achieve them. Why do you think this happens?

I can tell you why in two words Pleasure and Pain. These two words are the guiding force of your life and with them you will do and not do everything that you do and don't do in your life.

Now you might say "but I have other reasons that I do or don't do things" but I will tell you that the underlying reason is always pleasure and pain if you dig deep enough.

Lets say you want to be thin. You want to lose all your excess weight and become thin for a special event like your wedding or just because you are sick of always being fat and struggling with energy, you want to be able to play with your kids, have fun and the energy to be with them after a full day at work.

Now what is your goal? Well if it is properly written it should be something like this if you weighed 100kgs and wanted to weigh lets say 70kgs in a years time, so you goal should be written like this:

It is now 1st March 2012 and I now weigh 70kgs I am standing on my scales in the bathroom and it feels wonderful that I have achieved my dream weight and I look great, I have new clothes that fit me and I have a smaller waist. I feel great inside and out because I knew I could do it, thank you universe for your help with my goal (I always like to give thanks for my goals).

So this is your goal but then you get 2 weeks in and on the 15th of March 2011 you can't be bothered getting out of bed any more to exercise in the mornings like you planned, instead you feel like sleeping in. You tell yourself that I will do it later or do double tomorrow. Well guess what tomorrow NEVER comes.

So what does this mean? What it means is your haven't found your real reason for your goal and found the ultimate driving force or the Pain of not achieving your goal and the pleasure of achieving it. Instead you find the pleasure of staying in bed greater than the pain of exercising, it's very simple really.

So what do you need to do and how do you achieve your goal and stay motivated and on track?

Easy use the Pleasure and Pain formula to achieve your results. This is about finding the ultimate pain of not achieving your goals and the pleasure you will get from achieving your goals and staying there. As in our example you will have the pain of being fat, no energy, missing out on life, ridiculed, low self worth and confidence and not having the energy to spend or play with your kids and the list can go on and on. Now the pleasure you will get is you will feel great, look great, have tons more energy, better equipped to handle the world and life around you, you will have more confidence, better work and production at work means potential promotion meaning more money, more energy to play with the kids, more vitality and so much more this list can go on for a while.

So you then can see how by using pain of not doing and the pleasure of doing you are finding you drive or motivating force. This is called your Motivating Action Force these are things that will help keep you motivated and on track when you are thinking of quitting or giving up on your goals.
